August 9-September 5, 2021 Operations Report
/Kevin Southworth, Operations Manager
During this period:
New finished water turbidimeter has been tested and is operational.
Vertical profiling and water samples with a WWU student began August 17, continuing twice per month into autumn. Analysis of organics in the water will be performed at the WWU lab.
Changed depth of reservoir pump for optimum source water conditions.
New signage at the lake area and marina was installed.
Water usage loss is much lower than during the main break ending in July. The unaccounted for water (loss) for August indicates cumulative leaks at valves in the distribution system that need to be replaced.
Coming up:
Marina docks to be completely removed by October 11, weather permitting. Small docks may be removed after the end of September if equipment is available on the island during dry dock..
